Parent Education Group
This weekly group concentrates on empowering parents while enhancing parenting skills. Topics include understanding child development, parent-child attachment, breaking cycles, learning age-appropriate positive discipline skills, safe sleep practices, and promoting positive play & interaction between parents and children within a supportive group dynamic.

The group will be held at 1000 Chicago Avenue, Harrisonburg

Parent education groups will meet weekly for 10 weeks.

Seeking Safety Group
(offered separately for adults and adolescents)
Seeking Safety is a 12-week therapeutic group designed to help individuals who have experienced
trauma and are struggling with addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or other mental
health issues. It is present-focused and evidence-based and aims to help people develop coping
skills to manage their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life. Seeking Safety focuses on
teaching individuals a variety of practical skills that they can use in their daily lives. These skills may
include grounding techniques, communication skills, relaxation strategies, and ways to manage
negative thoughts and emotions. Seeking Safety also emphasizes the importance of building a
support network and developing healthy relationships. The goal of Seeking Safety is to help
individuals build a sense of safety and stability in their lives so that they can begin to address the
underlying issues that may be contributing to their symptoms

Parent education groups will meet weekly for 10 weeks. The cost of the group is $150 that
can be paid weekly, or in one payment at the start of the group.
